(Early Childhood Program)
Illnesses
We know that little kids have sniffles and runny noses more often than not, so we work very hard to keep our instruments clean between classes. Our request to you is to please be mindful of the fact there are expectant mothers and babies too young to be fully vaccinated in many of our classes. Please skip class if your child has any of the following symptoms:
• fever of 38°C or higher within the past 24 hours,
• diarrhea or vomiting within the past 24 hours,
• constant runny nose with a green/yellow tint,
• hacking or persistent cough,
• wheezing or shortness of breath,
• any unexplained / undiagnosed rash,
• unusually lethargic behavior,
• or any contagious / communicable disease, such as chicken pox, hand-foot-mouth disease, strep throat, pink eye, lice, etc with any symptoms within the past 24 hours. ** A doctor's note may be required before returning to class. **
If your child has a mild runny nose (clear or with a slight green/yellow tint) or a mild sporadic cough, please feel free to come to class. In this case, we do ask that you place everything your child handles in the wet bin so it can all get cleaned after class.
Makeup Classes
In order to promote a happy and healthy classroom environment, The Music Zoo offers unlimited makeup classes each session. Spaces are first-come-first-serve and subject to availability, so please book ahead to make sure you get the times you want!

If you are unable to attend your booked makeup class, please notify us at least 3 hours ahead of time so we can make your slot available to other families. Late cancellations and no-shows will use up your makeup class.
Makeup classes do not carry over between sessions.
Absences
If possible, please let us know in advance if you are expecting to miss any classes. If we know ahead of time, we can add your spot(s) to the list of available makeup classes. This will give people more options for booking their makeups and is a win-win for everybody!
Guests
We will do our best to accommodate any guests you might want to bring to class, such as another parent or visiting family members.
Please let us know in advance if you're planning on bringing any extras so we don't overbook the class.
Siblings
Older siblings who are registered in another program at The Music Zoo are welcome to tag along to a younger sibling's Music Pups class.
Older siblings who are not taking classes at The Music Zoo may attend a younger sibling's Music Pups class occasionally, in the event of a childcare issue. If they are attending on a regular basis, they must be registered in the program.
Photos & Videos
To limit distractions in class and to ensure the privacy of our students, please note our photo guidelines below:
While we understand the desire to take pictures and videos of your child in class, our goal is to provide a fun, focused and educational environment, encouraging positive involvement with limited distractions. To limit the potential distraction to your class, we ask you to be as quick and inconspicuous as possible when taking photos.
We take the privacy of our families very seriously. If you are a family currently registered in one of our classes and do not wish to have your picture or your child's picture taken in class by others, please let us know. We will take the appropriate steps to direct the class to refrain from taking photos in class. All such communications with the class will keep your identity anonymous.
Cancellation Policy
The Music Zoo may occasionally cancel a class due to instructor illness, adverse weather conditions, etc. In the event of a cancellation, we will send out notifications by email. Please check your email before heading to class!
If the schedule permits, an extra class will be added for the same time and day at the end of the session to compensate for the missed class. If adding an extra class is not possible, students affected by a cancellation will be eligible for a makeup class. If affected students are unable to makeup the missed class, they will receive either a credit or a refund for it.
Withdrawal Policy
If you decide to withdraw your child(ren), the following refund policy is in effect:
Prior to Your 1st Class ........ Full Refund, Minus $50 Admin / Music Fee
Prior to the 5th Week ....... Full Refund, Minus $50 Admin / Music Fee + $15 per Paid Child per Week
After the 5th Week........... No Refunds
